The Final Fantasy: Week 16

Fantasy NFL

This is it the final week of Fantasy. We’re into the final championship games. We have had two matchups already, with Jordan Reed being the player to have started. This week won’t be too indepth, I think there have been too many injuries to make looking at consistency a difficult prediction tool. Generally it has been hard to predict which players are likely to do well, I have been wrong on many weeks, hence why the Gents teams generally have done poorly. Apart from in the Quidditch league in which we won the regular season and now in the Championship decider. Honest it was not a fix. I’ll announce the other winners in another post and on the podcast. The winners this week from League A and B get ready to put to pick your ultimate fantasy line up to be crowned the Gridiron Gent Superbowl Fantasy Champion.

Your Final regular fantasy

Fantasy NFL

This is it for many leagues, an in many it has come down to this, the final game of the season. In the Gents League A there are three teams all vying to be the regular season champions. In League B JPPs Missing Finger has already won the regular season. In the Auction league the Beaumont Bullets have already won the league and in the Quidditch League it is all to play for between the Gents team, Sons of AnarchyNY and Monterey Hairy Otters. So with that let’s take a quick look at who to start and who not.

Fantasy football Week 13: Unlucky for some

Fantasy NFL

A really mixed affair last week, but I am enjoying managing the Gents Quidditch team which seems to be doing quite well in a limited player small league. Thursday night football threw up some duffs, Eddie Lacy and Theo Riddick two players who should have been benched and not started as I did. Let us look at who might be a good option this week.

Week 12 Fantasy look in

Fantasy NFL

I appreciate it has been a while since the Gents have focused on Fantasy, the Gents teams have generally not fared too well and as the resident “expert”, I have actually had a rubbish run since my last post. In non-Gent leagues, one of my teams has dropped from 1st to 6th with a 5 week losing streak. We have seen lots of season injuries over the last few weeks so here I will consider some waiver wire pick ups and maybe a few starters and players to bench.

Fantasy Week 8: Trick or treat

Fantasy NFL

This will be another quick look at potential fantasy selections probably just missing the early kick off between the Lions @ Chiefs at Wembley. I have had a horrid few weeks in Fantasy terms, last week only winning one of my match ups, thankfully in the Quidditch league. Currently the Gents are not doing so well in the two main leagues, currently 7th and 10th. So here I am going to have a quick look who you might want to pick up and start. Not too many major teams on byes this week, Jags, Bills, Washington and Eagles.

TNF Football: Fantasy perspective

Fantasy NFL

Hello again, I know it has been a while, sadly life sometimes gets in the way of football and fantasy football especially. This is no more apparent than my 1 – 5 record last week. So to kick things off I am going to have a quick look at fantasy options for the big Thursday night game, Dolphins @ Patriots.

Week 6 Fantasy: a quick look

Fantasy NFL

Thursday night football was exciting but not necessarily a fantasy points gold mine. I missed last weekend, I am sorry and this weeks look is going to be a brief look at possible options and possible starters. I was seriously off last week, the Gents ending 1 – 3 and overall I went 2 – 4. That is what happens when work gets in the way of football.

Week 4 fantasy: no averages this week

Fantasy NFL | NFL Stats

Well the Gents teams went 2-2 in week 3 so some of my decisions did not really pan out. My problem is getting regular scoring running backs. I know I said last week I would start looking at means (a measure of averages) and I will try a few this week, my main focus will be looking into who to try and pick up as a running back and then a few other picks of the week. I did play Maxx Williams and Justin Forsett as I said I would on Facebook. One paid off, the other not quite as much. I also have a cautionary tale of waiver wire woe.
