This week Simon, James, Dan and Duncan discuss the week 15 crop of games and talk about the recently announced international series games.
With a win this weekend and a loss for the Seahawks and Lions the Cowboys would clinch the No.1 seed in the NFC with three games to spare. Just a win will clinch the division for them so it is safe to say they will be playing playoff football this year.
The Seahawks still have a bit of work to do to clinch a first round bye, but they are all but certain to win division with the Cardinals three games back and hardly looking like they are going to put a run together, even if Seattle slips up.
These two will be the favourites to head to Houston and represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Arguably the Raiders should be in here but more on that in the next section. The Patriots have enough of a buffer over the Dolphins in the division and could even clinch a first round bye this weekend. The loss of Rob Gronkowski may have opened up the AFC, but the Patriots will once again win the East and will be the favourites to represent the conference in the Super Bowl.
With no Browns playing and no Rob Gronkowski I decided to take a week off from all NFL related activity last week because really, what’s the point when they aren’t involved?
Cleveland are back this week and I have a new hero in Malcolm Mitchell so I’m back in the game.
The NFL season is a damn short one and, while we may bemoan the enormous offseason, 16 regular season games means every single one usually matters.
Teams cannot afford to have bad days at the office, yet even some of the most exciting franchises in the league continue with glaring vulnerabilities. The Seattle Seahawks have the lowest paid offensive line in the league (and they are not great value), but compensate for it in other areas to remain as perennial challengers.
Bad news. It’s Week 14. That in itself isn’t awful of course, but it does mean the end of the regular season looms on the horizon like something, well, big and loomy. It also means there aren’t many opportunities left to close in on leader James in the Prediction League
Week 13. Unlucky for some. End of season for others as they see their dreams of a Play Off berth vanish in to thin air like a puff of smoke from a 1956 Ford Anglia.
The Oakland Raiders are enjoying their greatest season in recent memory. Sitting atop the ultra-competitive AFC West with a 9-2 record, the Silver and Black have arguably the best young roster in the league and are proving to be one of the NFL’s most entertaining teams.
