While You Were Sleeping News: 14/09/26
Going to move it to the website, for ease of putting it up everywhere. Also only going to include news that doesn’t involve final results as you’ll have already seen them. Anyway…
Injuries
- Myles Garrett sent to IR: He’ll have knee arthroscopic surgery on his knee. This is not the start the Rams had hoped for. It means we’re missing him for at least 4 games.
- Zay Flowers has incredible day, but re-aggravates hamstring injury: No news yet on how much time he could miss, but he is at least questionable for next Sunday’s game against the Saints.
- Omar Cooper Jr Injured after impressive performance: Omar Cooper Jr looked grest for the Jets, until he was forced to leave the game with a suspected high ankle sprain. Minkah Fitzpatrick also left this game with a groin injury
- Ja’Kobi Lane out several weeks with fractured wrist: Unfortunate day for Lane who will now most likely miss a couple of weeks.
- Kyler Murray goes down with head injury: I would assume he’ll enter concussion protocol after taking a bad hit to the head.
Some notes from Sunday…
- When a strip sack is not a strip sack: Saints managed to get the ball out of Jared Goff’s hands but it was ruled a forward pass, even though the ball went backwards. It’s left a lot of people wondering what a strip sack actually is.
- Packers fans are not happy with Shawn Hochuli: Packers fans believe that the call of roughing the passer on Chris McClellan sacking Carson Wentz was bogus. Personally, I could go either way. What do you think?
- Tyler Owens: Just watch it, it’s awesome.
- Deshaun Watson is not good, but his stats are a lie: Watson finished with a QBR of 97.7, 16 of 20, over 200 yards. I would recommend actually watching his performance though, because it really wasn’t good.
- Baker, what you doing man: Sure he had headset issues, but 3 fumbles is not a great start for the newly minted QB.
- The Bears…. Well you don’t want to ask me about them.
There is more, but we’ll cover the rest on the podcasts!
