Tailgate Knight’s NFL Spread tips week 17

I am sorry that I was not able to post up my week 16 spread tips. Christmas is a chaotic time and my parents moved, which meant my Dad, (who was third in the league) forgot to put in his picks, yet my Dad is still above me in the rankings! He has dropped to 6th place at 122-102, while I am near the bottom at 111-129 because of hitting a miserable 5-11 score in week 16.

The leader is at 132-108 with my best friend just three points behind him with the last week to play for. I am out of the running, my Dad would need a miracle but my friend certainly could snag the win.

Week 17 is a tricky week to predict because some teams have qualified and will rest their star players, while other games are dead rubber games where both teams are out of the playoff race and who knows who they will field. Either way it should be a fun Sunday. With the Bears having one of their worst seasons in my life time, I certainly will be watching via Red Zone.

Week 17 Spread Lines

Browns at Ravens -8.5

Jags at Texans -9.5

Bills at Patriots -3.5

Colts at Titans +6.5

Jets at Dolphins -5.5

Chargers at Chiefs -2.5

Cowboys at Washington +6.5

Eagles at Giants -2.5

Saints at Bucs +3.5

Bears at Vikings -6.5

Panthers at Falcons -3.5

Lions at Packers -7.5

Cardinals at 49ers -5.5

Rams at Seahawks -12.5

Raiders at Broncos -14.5

Bengals at Steelers -3.5

My three tips for week 17

Ravens at -8.5 who host the Browns

The Browns have all sorts of problems at qb this weekend. The Ravens are not only hard to beat at home, but a win here and a Chargers loss will put them into the playoffs. With the Browns out of the hunt for a playoff position, the Ravens will be relentless.

Bills at +3.5 at the Patriots

Now I know Belichick doesn’t like to lose, but the Patriots have already secured home field advantage throughout the playoffs, so it would be foolish not to rest star players. Meanwhile the Bills will love to get one over their rivals at Foxboro, even though this game means very little.

Broncos at -14.5 who host the Raiders

I know this is a big spread, and I know the Broncos got beat by the Bengals on MNF last week. However a win for the Broncos gives them a bye in the playoffs. The Raiders have been bad all season and Peyton Manning will want to put up big numbers before heading into the post season, riding on plenty of confidence.
