Week 6 Picks.
A woeful performance from the Gents last week as there was a 3 way tie at top with a dreadful 8 correct picks. So after this weeks results, Duncan and I are still tied at top with Jon close behind:
Duncan: 3
Dan: 3
Jon: 2
Charlie: 0
Anyway lets take a look at this weeks games.
New York Giants @ Chicago Bears
Potential banana skin for a Bears as they’ve lost their last 2 games and have a heavily depleted O-line. A desperate Giants team looks for their first win of the season on National Television to turn their season round and restore some confidence in Big Blue.
Dan: Bears Win (not happy about it though)
Duncan: Bears Win
Jon: Bears Win
Charlie: Bears Win
Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills
The Bills are starting…erm, wait for it…erm oh yeah! Thad Lewis (nope no idea), the Bengals last week shut down Tom Brady…
Dan: Bengals Win
Duncan: Bengals Win
Jon: Bengals Win
Charlie: Bengals Win
Detroit Lions @ Cleveland Browns
Two stronger than expected teams, gunning for the play-offs. Both have great Defences and it should be a close one.
Dan: Browns Win
Duncan: Browns Win
Jon: Lions Win
Charlie: Lions Win
Green Bay Packers @ Baltimore Ravens
Both recent Superbowl Champs, that have slipped off the radar a little. A win here could be a statement for either franchise.
Dan: Packers Win
Duncan: Packers Win
Jon: Packers Win
Charlie: Packers Win
Oakland Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs could go 6-0 and the Raiders are playing at a much higher level than expected. Could the Raiders be the team to end the streak?
Dan: Raiders Win
Duncan: Chiefs go 6-0
Jon: Chiefs Win
Charlie: Chiefs Win
St Louis Rams @ Houston Texans
Schaub is starting. Does he have a bounce back game against a weak Rams Defence? With Stacey being named as the no. 1 Running Back can the Rams pull this Offence together.
Dan: Texans Win
Duncan: Texans Surely
Jon: Texans Win
Charlie: Texans Win
Carolina Panthers @ Minnesota Vikings
Vikings got a much needed confidence boosting win in London. The Panthers are dropping down the ratings, but still have a very effective Defence.
Dan: Vikings Win
Duncan: Vikings Win
Jon: Panthers Win
Charlie: Vikings Win
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Jets
Can the Steelers get their first win here against a Jets team that is flying high at the moment?
Dan: Jets Win
Duncan: Jets Win
Jon: Jets Win
Charlie: Steelers Win
Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2 New starters at QB, can they prove they’ve got what it takes to keep their jobs?
Dan: Bucs Win
Duncan: Eagles Win
Jon: Eagles Win
Charlie: Eagles Win
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos
Its the Jags…at Mile High, against the Broncos. Football is a crazy sport sometimes, but is it this crazy?
Dan: Broncos Win
Duncan: Broncos Win
Jon: I had to include this Jon… The Broncos send out a 4 year old Pop Warner team, with John Elway playing the 3rd Quarter and the Broncos fans are invited down from the stands at Mile High to ‘have a go at being linebacker’. Meanwhile the Broncos Endzone is rented out during the game for Tai Chi and Antenatal classes.
Charlie: Broncos Win
Tennessee Titans @ Seattle Seahawks
The Titans Defence has proved itself to be effective and only just lost out to the unbeaten Chiefs. The Seahawks suffered their first loss against the Titans Division rivals, the Colts and are looking to stay top of the NFC West.
Dan: Seahawks Win…Just
Duncan: Seahawks Win
Jon: Seahawks Win
Charlie: Seahawks Win
New Orleans Saints @ New England Patriots
The Saints remain undefeated and looking to beat my pick for the superbowl. The Patriots get Gronk back, but the Defence still looks sparse.
Dan: Patriots Win
Duncan: Saints Win
Jon: Patriots. Just
Charlie: Patriots Win
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
A proven Niners Defence goes up against a young but making waves Defence for the Cardinals, expect very few points.
Dan: Cardinals Win
Duncan: Niners Win
Jon: Niners Win
Charlie: Niners Win
Washington @ Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys made a statement against the Broncos that they could score a lot of points. Can RGIII, fresh from the bye take advantage of a Defence that allowed 51 pts last week.
Dan: Cowboys Win
Duncan: Cowboys Win
Jon: Cowboys Win
Charlie: Washington Win
Indianapolis Colts @ San Diego Chargers
The Colts are on fire after beating Superbowl favourites, the Seahawks. Rivers has looked fantastic all season and looks to keep the Chargers in the playoff hunt.
Dan: Colts Win
Duncan: Colts Win
Jon: Colts Win
Charlie: Colts Win
And that’s week 6, enjoy the games folks.
